100% Ozone-Free Technology
All IQAir air purifiers are 100% ozone-free. They are certified by the IAACM (International Association of Air Cleaner Manufacturers) to produce absolutely no ozone. Ozone is a lung irritant emitted from ionic and electronic air cleaners. Even small amounts of ozone are undesirable for allergy and asthma sufferers. What is even worse, Ozone is classified as a TOXIN by the E.P.A. and a severe lung irritant by the American Lung Association Why would you want to put a unit in your house that generates a known toxin?!? I experienced this personally when I tried an Ozone generating air "purifier". The Ozone made me sicker than the mold did! One of the first campaigns IQ Air did with the American Lung Association was an education campaign to inform people of the dangers of Ozone generating air "purifiers". As a result, the EPA has moved against many of the companies making these units and their false claims. But...they are still out there so beware. If it says "negative ions" it is probably generating ozone.
